O'Doherty, a member of the Queensland Legislative Council, m recognition of the support giv<n by him to the Irish cause m the colonies. In connection with the Caroline Islands dim* julty, it is rumoured that the Gorman squadron at present sta-tioiu-d al Zanzibar, has been ordered to proceed to those islands. Acute excitement is being manifested m Spain over the affair.
