From the Star we lt*arn that the additions and repairs to the machinery of the Feilding steam flour mills have been completed, and operations are again m full swing. Two letters to the editor for which wo have not room to-day will appear m our next issue. The ship North American is supposed to have been lost on the Auckland islands. A man-of-war is to be dpspatched to Bearch for any traces of her. We are requested to gtate that the Manawatu Chosen Few Lodge, L.0.L., will meet on Monday, the 14th inst, not Monday, the 7th, as incorrectly advertised m the Times. Feilding has resolved to join with Palmerston, m inviting the Manchester Fire Insurance Company to visit the district, and examine the district with a view of taking them over at lower rates. i
