MESSES BARNS AND HTGGIE'S STOCK SALE EEPORT.
Our sale on Wednesday last, was not so largely attended as usual, and the tone of the market generally was not quite so good. There was a fair attendance of ' buyersi howover, aad a good quantity of changed hands at fair prices — m fact at julins: figures— with no noticeable afteration from late quotations. Beef and mutton realispd good prices, and steers of all ages are m demand. Good store cows find buyers but at no advance on prices lately quoted. We quote : — Cattle.-rFat cows, £3 15s, and £4 10s, according to quality ; 2\ to 3-yr steers, MBs 6d .■; store cows, £2 12s Cy\ to £3 Is ;2" yr heifers. £2 7s ; 15-mnnths-old, ?385.; yearling steers and heifers, 355; milch cows, £3 5s to £4 17s 6d ; ±at wethers, 13s 9d to 15s. - , Pigs.— Stores, 10s to 17s 6d ; fat bason, 37s to 38s. Horses.^-We sold a few light hacks at .from £3 10s to £6 ss. v - Potatoes, 5s per sack ; carrots, 8s per sack. ~
