Mission Service.
The Interior of All Saints' Church was crowded with worshippers of all denominations at last evening's mission service. The chancel had to be thrown open to the public and seats laid m the aisle of the building to afford accommodation, the attendance was so numerous. The Rev. Mr Copinger preached an eloquent sermon on the " Holy Eucharist" taking for his text the words '.' If ye knew the gift of God," St. John 4th chapter, part of verse 10. The importance of this most sacred ordinance of the Church was ably described by the rev. gentleman, and an earnest exhortation to those who were leading sinful and godless lives to repent, and become partakers of the blessed sacromont, was attentively listened to by the large congregation present. Tho Rev. Mr Towgood assisted m the service which was carried out m the usual mission siyle without any assistance from t!i') prayer book or hymn book, the mission hymn book being used and «*xf pn!]Hi' - (! pravcrs only bsing engaged m. Tho. lumber present mast have been boIwwn four and five hundred. Tht*! mission will bra continued up to Wednesday next, on which day aj thanksgiving soi'vieo will be held.
