WHAT IS THIS DISEASE THAT IS COMING UPON US. Like a thief at night it steals m upon us unawares. Many persons have p.iiiis about Hie chest ami sides, and sometimes m the back. They feel dull and sleepy ; the mouth has a bud taste especiolly iii the morning. A sort of sticky slime collects about the teeth. The., appetite is poor. There is a feeling like a heavy load on the stomach ; sometimes a faint all-gone sensation nt the pit of the stomach which food does not satisfy.* The eyes aro sunken, the bauds and feet become cold ami feel cl-immy. After a wiiilc a eonjrii sets m at first dry, but after a few month.-; it i-s attended with a greenishcoloured expectoration. The afflicted one feels tired all the while, and sleep does not seem to afford any rest. After a time he becomes nervous, irritable, and gloomy, and has evil forebodings. There is a giddiness, a sort of whirling sensation m the ■ head when rising up suddenly. The bowels become costive ; the skin is dry and Jiot at times ; the blood becomes thick and stagnant : the whites of the eyes ' become tinged with yeliow, the urine is ncaniy and hjgh-coloured, depositing a sediment after standing. There is frequently a spitting up of the food, sometimes with a sour taste, and sometimes with a sweetish taste ; this is frequently attended wilh palpitation of the lie.nrt ; the vision becomes impaired with spots before the eyes ; there is a fooling "of groat prostratio.i and weakness. All of these 'symptoms are m turn present. It is thought that nearly one-third of our population has this disease m some of its varied forms. It lias bee.-i found that medical men hnve mistaken the nature of tliis disease. Some have treated it for a .liver complaint, others for kidney discarc, etc., etc., but none of the various kinds of treatment havo boon attended with success, because the remedy should be such as to act harmoniously upon each one of these organs, •and upon the stomach as well ; for m Dysprpsia (for this is really what the disease is) ail of these organs partake of this disease a:id require a remedy that will act upon all at, the same timp. Beigel's Curative Syrup acts lika a charm m this class of complaints, giving almost immediate relief. The following letters from chemists of standing m the community -where they live show m what estimation tho article is held. Wholesale Agente, Kempthoriic, Prosscr & 'Co.'s New Zealand Drug Co. (Limited), Dnncdin, Christchnreh, Wellington, and Auckland.. John Archer, Hiirthill, nenr Shcillicld : — I can confidently recommend it to nil who may be suffering from liver or stomach complaints, having the testimony of my enstomors, who have derived grent benefit from the Sy.-up and Pills. Hoht. L ii:ie, Molksliam : — I can well reeomni'wd the Curative Syrnp from having proved its efficacy for indigestion myself. l'riooklieim. Arm-oath, Fbrfarshire, Sept. 23, 1982. Doir Sir, — Last year I sont yon a hitter recommending Mother Seigol's Syrup. I ?i ivs very much pleasure m still bearing testimony to the very satisfactory results of tho filmed Syrup and Pills. Most -patent medicines die out with mo, but Mother Siej-<3l has lrul a steady sale ever since I commenced, and is still v.\ a great demand .as when I first began to sell the medicine. The cures which have come nnd'ir my notice are chiefly those of liver complaint and general debility. A certain minister m my neighbourhood says it is the ou!y thing which lias binicfltcd him and restored him to his normal condition of health after being unable to preach for a considerable length of time. I could mention also a great many other cases, but space would not allow. A near friend of mine, who is very muoh addicted to coitivenoss, or constipation, ft :ds that Mother So.gels Pills aro the only pills which suit his compliant. AH other pills c;mso a reaction which is very .annoying. Mother Soicel's Pills no not leave a bad af fccr-offoct. I have much pleasure m commending ngain to suffering humanity Mother Seigd'-s medicines, which are no sham. If this letter is of aii3 T service you can publish it. Yours very truly, (Stoned) William S. Glass, Chemist. A. J. White, Esq. 15th August, ISB3. Dear Sir,— l write to tell you that Mr Henry Hillier, of Yatcsbury, Wilts, informs me that he sufl'rved from r. severe form of indigestion for upwards of four years, and took no end of doctor's medicines without the sliglite.t benefit, and declares Mother Seigol's Syrup which lie got from me has saved his life. Yours truly, (Signed) N.Webb, Mr White. Chemist, Calne.
