House. I hear also that Mi' Buckland, the member for! Waikonaiti, has formally withdrawn his' support from Y thc Government, so thalt at presesent Ministers are declared to be m a consideral)le minority. Strong efforts are being made to bring about a coalition between Mi- Orrnond. and Major AtMnson, and it is generally rumoured tha|t such a/union-will take place, as the only practicable solution out of the present 'difficulty.
