His genial bearing towards all with wliom lio cnino m contact, and his nuny nets of disinterested '.kindness r-ndereii' at once a general favourite with young and old Hell and poor. As tin Inspector he was respected by nil tins teachers m his district, and 'they will all feel s«rry to ' Ittdrn. of his death. Mr Foulis was a Chaplain of tUe St. Andrew Kilwinniiig Lodge of Freemasons while m Wan-' ganui, and his Masonic relations were' of the most friendly character with nil his brother craftsmen. As a in<*inl»er of the Presbyterian congregation, and a manager of St. Paul's Church, he took a great interest m elmrcli .work m our -iiiidtit. .His death will be mourned by a large number of those who knew him ■ m these and iv many oth'-r capacities.
