KOMAROFF'S DESPATCH.
The Official Messenger of May 12
publishes a report from General Komaroff.\lated Dash-Kepri, April 11, Containing details of the fight on the Kushk River, according to which the Russian force engaged consisted of one battalion of the i line, four guns, three. Sotmas of Cossacks, onesotma of Turkoman militia, and four companies of rifles. The Russians captured two Afghan flags, which were taken to St. Petersburg by Colonel Zakrogevski. Only fourteen Af ghans, including seven wounded were made prisoners, lhe Russians did not pursue the Afghans m their fliffht. General Komarpff estimates the Afghan loss at over 500 kilted, -inciuding four ofiicers. Saib Salar. the Afghan .commander^ , is stated to have been wounded.
