Dramatic Club.
The Palmerston Dramatic Club met last evening and received the Secretary's report and' balance-sheet m connection with the late entertainment, The receipts of the performance alone will we understand be almost entirely devoted to defrayiqet expenses unavoidably incurred m connection with the Club's inaugural representation before the public : but a ■ substantial, balance m the shape of hoh. 'members subscriptions will remain and : as it is not expected that the next performance will entail anything like so heavy expense; It may be 'anticipated that the Club will be. as successful financially as it .has proved itsell m all other •respects. The . second entertainment will we understand be given m about six weeks time when a act comedy entitled * : O'Caljagan on his last legs ' will be produced together;.:- with a farce and musical selections^. It is also expected that an efficient orchestra will be organ-? iaed and assist at this entei-tainment. Mr G. Kendall -was. unanimously elected musical conductor and Mr Haultain chairman m committee, m the place o£ Mr E. Johnston resigned, whom a hearty vote of thanks was accorded for past serYiQej, The secretary, Mr H. W.
