The first general meoting of sharehol- -' ders m the above Company was held at ' Mr Jewell's Sample Room on Saturday afternoon laSt. There was a large attendance of shareholders, and Mr James Linton, Chautuan of the Provisional ' .Directors, occupied the chair. The business was mainly ot a formal character. • The gentlemen who have acted as Provisional Directors since the establishment t of the Company were elected permanent directors. There names are as follows : 1 — Messrs J. M'Lennan, Podovm, J. Lin- - s ton, D.—H. Maxsarthur, F. Robmson, sen., J. Daviea, and J. W. Gower. Mr Beatty was* elected Auditor. The next 0> '" 3 general meieting was fixed for the second Saturday m May of next year. It was 1 * < rdsolved'ihat flrcall of 5s per share should • ,- be made.
