Prognostications of a further fall m greasy Merino have unfortunately been fulfilled, as a'drop of Id to Id on former rates has to be recorded. Crossbreds, on the other hand display much firmness, and an advance of id to Id has been established, ; It is a ygry fortunate circumstance for this Colony that <one half of the wool exported hence consists of this ' latter description; the effect of fcfre decreased value of merino being counteracted by jjje equivalent increase m. the value of orossbved wqqls. XJp to the latest dates, 113,000 bales have been catalogued, of which 19,000 bales have been withdrawn. It is probable roost pf these' withdrawals are merino lots, and njust form a forge proportion of the merino wool offered. The next series of sales is fixed to begin early m August, "
