' The secretary of the Dairy Factory .Company lras at length received news as to ''ihS first "consignment of cheese sent Home. It will be remembered that m May -last, on the advice of Mr Bowron, the-'directorg sent Home a Bmall shipment to Messrs Bowron Bros. The addresa given, however, was incorrect, and it did not reach the firm it was intended for, but lay m the warehouse until De ijSmber. At this tints the company had a letter from, the manager of the New Zealand Shipping Company, stating that the cheese nad just been handed over to Bowron Bros. This was the only intimation the directors had of its arrival at its destination, and as tho firm had not sent any acknowledgement of its receipt for the cheese, the secretary some ten days' singe -wrote to the Christchurch branch of the house, asking for particulars. In reply he has received the account sales, which show that for the 24 cases, nett-weight of cheese, 19cwt Oqni 251b3, 46s a owl- was obtained, or within a small f motion of 5d per lb.
