Hawera, Friday. At Messrs Nolan Tonks and Co.'s usual fortnightly Bale at Hawera on Thursday the yards wore well filled with cattle of a good description ; bidding was brisk, and recent prices fully sustained, young cattle showing decided advance. Forward cows, according to condition, £3 to £3 13s ; fat cows, -63 17s ; 8-yr-old stesrs, M 7s ; cows and calves, £2 17s to £3 6s ; store cows, £2 5s to £2 18s ; yearlings to 18-months cattle, £1 11s to £2 Is • 18-rnonths to 2-yr heifers, £1 18a.
