iH ■' ■■ : . »- . .. ' .Tbe usual fortnightly meeting of the Wellington Waste lands Board was held on Thursday. Present — Messrs J. W. A. Marchant (Commissioner of Crown Lands irf-tnd chair), W. A. Fitzherbert, G. Beethara, M.H.R., W. W. McCardle, T. Mas'Si, and H. Bunny. 'The Chairman stated that since last meeting of the Board, 7906 acres had been disposed of for cash, deferred payments and leasehold. Mr E. Carr applied for permission to transfer, section 5, block 30, Pohangina, to Mr W. Miers. instead of Mr J. H. Stephens, as authorised by the Board, Mr Stephens not beim? m a position to m'ike'ftie. necessary declaration. Request acccoded to. J Mr 'F.- von Reden declined to tako up leasehold sections Nos. 2 and 3, block 10, Mangaone, and asked to have his deposit on section 2 returned to him.
