Resolutions were unanimously adopted approving of the project, and a large number of subscriptions were promised among those present, who numbered fully four thousand. The prisoners Alexander Boss and Milne Smith, who were recently arrested on a charge of being concerned m the extensive robbery from the London Chartered Bank at Horsham m March, 1884, were examined yesterday, and were remanded for further evidence. Brisbane, Saturday. . It is stated that the Queensland Government are m possession of information from an authentic source to the effect that Milne Bay m New Guinea has been forcibly seized by a German vessel.
