Previous to tins concert commencing a ilew musical items were rcnderod, tlie most noiiceablc iteing a rundition of the "Dear It. tie Shamrock" by tho children and sung with very much tasto and uiliect. Tlie following programme was subsequently rendered and duly appreciated. Several oi : tha itcias being encored : — Overture, selcctiotisfroiu Lucruzia Borgia, Uarmonium and Violin, Miss Boyian and Mr llutherford ; (ilee, ' Carnovale " Choir ; Song, "Jenny who lives m the Dell" Mr iiickerton ; Recitation, "Asleep at the Switch" Mr A. B. Toll ; Piano, "Irish Diamonds" Miss Boylan ; Song, 'Til be all smiles to-night" Mrs Holt ; Duett, "The Army and Navy"
Messrs Hualy and Harbott ; Piano. "Sleig-h Race Galop" Mrs Anderson and Miss Bovlau : Song, "The Angel at the Window"" Mr Healy ; Sontv, " The littlo Hero "Mr Bett ; Songv "" The Alpine Storm " Mr Harbott ; Duett, " How sad it ia to say Fareweil " Miss Boylan and Mr Healy. Th» hall was very prettily decorated with evergreens, flags and devieeSjtlic wall at the rear of the platform having four bannerettes hung^ amongst ferns m the following order :— On the right hand side Irish emblem, Harp and Shamrock with the words " Ceade Mille Failthe " and Erin go Brah " ; opposite side, Scotch ditto with bunch of thistles and the words, '' Bonnie Scotland " ; and between these two the papal insignia, naitre and cross keys with the words " Long Live Leo XIII" ; over the latter the English motto " Rule Brittainna " and " God Save the Quetfn " surrounding a crown, besides these the right and left side of the hall were decorated with other Hags, &c. Stars and Stripes and Union Jack bannerettes. The decoration:; m fact were very artistically arranged, and rellect the highest commendation on Mr O'Brien who had the management of their arragement and who also we understand manufactured the various bannerettes.
