Football.
. A meeting of persons interested m forming a Football Club at Foxton was held at Whyte's Hotel on Saturday evening hurt. Ten persons were present, and Mr Gregson was voted to the chair. It was resolved to establish a club under the mime of the "Foxton Football Club," and those present all gave m their names as meniherd uud the names of sixteen others were received. Mr Gregson was olectod Secretary and Treasurer, and the subscription was fixed at 2a Gd. It was decided the Club should work under the Rugby rules, anil Thursday was fixed as a general practice day. Other details were left for a general meeting of members, to he held on Wednesday, to determine. — Poxton paper.
