(PEtt UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION. Suakim , May ,6. General Lord Wolseley reviewed the whole of the forces. I had an interview with him, and asked his opinion of the New South Wales Contingent. Ho stated that he had never inpocted a finer body of men, and only wished that the Contingent was ten times as numerous. He added that he supposed the Colonies could, if required, increase the strength of the Contingent to 10,000 men. May 11. The New South Wales. Contingent propoßed that 100 of their number should be formed mounted infantry corps to act as scouts arid do other advance work. Sir Gerald Graham has expressed himself delighted with the proposal. PROBABLE OCCUPATION OP SUAw KIM BY ITALY. (eeuter's telegrams.) Lohdpn, May 19. It is stated that negotiations are now m progress between the Governments of Italy and Great Britain with a view to the occupation of Suakhn by the former country, and that ajmmber of Italian troops have received orders to hold theinsolves m readiness for that service.
