MESSRS HALCOMBB & SHERWILL^ REPORT.
We held a highly successful sale here on Thursday, the 7th inst. The bidding for young cattle was spirited, older cattle not beinjj quite up to late rates. Sheep sold remarkably well, all being Mold under ttio hammer, except ono pen. The following prices were realised :— Cattle.— Bat cows, L 3 Is to L 4; 18---tnonths to 2-yr-old steers, L 2 5b ; yearling to 18-tuonths steers, LI lOti to LI 15m ; 2-yr-old heifers, LI 10s to LI 19s : 2£ to 3-yr-oid steers, L 3 12s 6d to L 4 lUs. Sheep.—Store «wes, 7s Id to 8a 6d ; ew«s m lamb findiffwrimt), 5« 5d ; fat ewes. 68 Mto 8s 9,1 ; fat wotlmrs, llg 4d ; shorn lambs, 4s 2>! ; lambs m wool, 4s 6d, 6a dd, and 7s ; 2-tootb wethers, 9s Piga.— Good sows, L 2 2s 6d to L 2 15b j weavers, 6s 6il to 15s. Horsog.— Hackß, L 5 to L 8 : draught colt, LlO.
