(by electric telegraph- copyright.) (BEUTER'S TKL.EGKAMS.) Sydney, April 30. Sailed — Waihora for Auckland this afternoon. The annual meeting of the Australian Mutual Provident Society was held here to-day, and resolutions were passed providing that m future bonuses shall become valuable after the policies have endured two years and surrender values shall be paid after a similar period had elapsed. The Bank of New South Wales declared a dividend at the rate of 15 per cent, per annum for the past half year together with a bonus of 2£ per cent. Melbourne, April 30.
850 of the Victorian police have volunteered their services to the Government for the militia.
