Annual Horse Fair.

MESSBS BECKETT, HAMMOND, AND DICK'S EEPORT. Mabton, April 24. Our annual horse fair, held at York Farm yesterday, was ; as usual, well attanded by buyera from all parts of the coast. The bidding was not, however, very spirited, although we succeeded m disposing of a large number of entries at fair value. Altogether, we do not think the draught stock were equal m quality to those offered m former years. About 150 horses were offered, a good percentage of which -were sold, realiziug about £600. In view of the hunting season a few good hunters were offered, eoino of which brought good value. The racing 'hack Fern Flats was offered,|but could not find a buyer at the reserve — £35.
