We hear that Mr S. V. Langkjer is very seriously ill, and his recovery is despaired rff. We learn that Pastor Gaustad's homeopathic treatment of pulmonary disease has been attended with remarkably successful results m several recent cases which he attended, and m which all opathic treatment had failed to afford any relief whatever. Here is a warning to people not to get excittd m railway carriages. At the Marton E.M. Court a man was fined £1 and costs, and ordered to pay the damages, 18s, for breaking two windows of a railway carriage. The costs amounted to £5 is. At the Marton R.M. Court this week a farmer was fined .£1 and costs — the lowest penalty, for having committed a breach of " The Sheep Act, 1884," by allowing sheep infected with lice to be m a public yard. A Bpecial notice appears elsewhere from the Auckland Clothing and Drapery Company, who have opened temporarily m Bank Chambers. Messrs J. During and John Prosser, coach proprietors of Hawera were on a visit to Palraerston to-day; on the look out for a opening m the coaching line.
