(TO THE EDITOR OF THE STANDARD.) Sir, — Allow me through the medium of your columns to st.-ite the nature of the dispute complained of at the last meeting ot the Borough Council m reference to the key of the gate to the night-piU It was hiranged by the nighttnen and myself that Tuesday and Friday nights the gate should he left open for the admittance to the pit ; m place of their keeping to iheir agreement with me. they have been coming and disturbing me out of tny bed every night tor the koy which has never been refused, but for the future I intend to leave it open every night except Sunday nights. In -reply to O West -anil Cr Park re the fencing between my land and the reserve there is nothing compulsory m my agreement for- roe to put up the dividing fence between the reserve and my land ; for Cr West and Ci Park's information I wish to inform them as soon as the Council do their half of the dividing fence, ! shall be only too pleased to do my half of the dividing fence, to be relieved of the unpleasant- annoyance 1 am subject to by having ray" nights rest disturbed as it has h««n of late. lie Cr Park's statement that I was a little troublesome at the time of his boatshed being on the Borough reserve. I distinctly deny it as I had novrtr spoken to him. I fail to see where I have been so very troublesome to him that [ have been cutting my own throat as he states, but he and his friends have passed m and out ••'henever they wished to do so without any interference on my part.
