It is believeil that Mr Squire Barlow, who was assisting m suppressing the fire at Te Aro house on Saturday night, has lost his life m the building. Barlow was seen to enter the building to rescue one of the assistants, brit since then he has not been seen or heard of., He was a partner with his brother m the greengrocery line, and was to. haye returned to work on Saturday night. The Whole of the debris m the building has not yet been removed. Barlow is a married man, and leaves four children. The stock m Te Aro House is esti. mated at fully and the insurance thereon was only ,i 14,500, so that Mr Smith suffers very great loss. The building was worth £7000, but was only insured for L 4500. This Day. No.trace -of Ba*low;has yet been discovered. His relatives scarcely think he was burnt m the Te Aro House fire, •search having .been made among the rnins without success.
