Messrs Huddart and Parker's new steamer Corangamite, which has been built at Newcastle-on-Tyne for their Victorian line of steamers, has been successfully launched. Robert Nicholas Fowler, who was elected Lord Mayor of London m 1883, has been re-elected to that position, m consequence of the decease of Lord Mayor Nottage. Sir Thomas Brassey, First Secretary of the Admiralty, states that the names of vessels belonging to Colonial navies, when such have been organised, will appear m the Official Navy Lists.
