GLADSTONE'S STATEMENT DISQUIETING,
(UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington. This Day. The Government have received the following telegram from the Agent-Gen-eral : — " Quite uncertain whether peace will be presorvod. Gladstone's statement last night is not reassuring. Naval preparations active."
