FEILDING RACES.
Despite the counter attractions elsewhere, there was a wry good attendance at the Feilding races yesterday. The various events were pulled off -without a hitch . As usual the officials were most courteous and obliging. The Ma kino Band was m attendance, and added greatly to the day's amusement. The totalisator was well patronised, there being about £1100 put through it ; and the money was well divided, as will be se^n from tho dividends, the highest being £3 6s. The following is the result of the various events : — HANDICAP HURDLE EACE. Totara 1 Nukurau ... ... ... .. 2 Speculation and Pathfinder also started. Nnkurau led off, but was soon over-hauled by Totara, who retained that position to the finish. Totalisator, £102 ; dividend, Jgl 15k. HACK HURDLE DACE. Ahroa ... ... ... ... 1 Purotawa... ... ... ... 2 Patent Safety, Hyata, and Doric also run. The race lay between Ahua ami Porotawa from the first, ilyata and Patent Safety having ran off the course at the -first hurdle, and Doric, having broken two hurdles, baulked at the third TotalLsator, £83; -dividend, £1 9s.
