The market during the week has been steady with considerable business done. Banks are buoyant and m demand, nationals excepted, which are pressed at 10s discount, Insurance continue dull and somewhat unsaleable. There are buyers of Wcllington-Mauawatu Railways at par. Gear Meat Cos. are wanted at quoted price. N.Z. Land Mortgage have nnmerous buyers at 4s 6d premium.
