The Marquis of Lome, who is I actively promoting it, has thanked the Lord Mayor of London for his assistance m the matter. The address is now being circulated throughout the provinces. The Government have suggested to the Hon. W. B. Dalley; of New South Wales, that there should be no conditions attached to the despatch of troops for the Soudan, but that they should be subject to Imperial military law.
