Horses : A larger number were brought forward than on the previous week, and there wns an improved demand for active spring cart horses at an advanced value. The Durham yards were well filled on Friday ; competition was steady throughout the sain, although m many cases reserves could not be reached, and vendors were obliged to submit to lower rates. Thero was an exceptiou as to young strong active horses, which advanced m value fully £2 per head. Cattle : Tha supply of fat beasts has been smaller than for some weeks, but dairy and store stock have been m unusual numbers. For good cows at their profit an advanced price was given, and fat realised a shade higher values. The dairy pens at the Newmarket yards on Tuesday were well filled. Stores were m adequate numbers, but there were not so many fat beasts yarded as usual. Prices for dairy cows had an upward tendency, aud ranged from £6 10s to £10 5s ; fat and store stock at the previous week's values. Sheep : There was a good muster at Newmarket on Tuesday, but the previous week's prices were freoly given. Wethers lauged from 13s to 16s Gd ; ewes, 11s to 14s 3d each. Lambs : Since selling at from 7s to 10s each. Pigs : Very few yarded, but of good quality, and realised 4d per lb. live weight.
