Stevens and Gorton's Report.
Ai our sale at Feildingon Tuesday our yards wore fu|l of cattle, every pen being occupied, and about 700 sheep came forward. Owing to harvesting operations being m full swing the attendance was rather small. Bidding for sheep was fairly brisk and especially so for lambs, but dull for cattle. Tho following are the prices realized : — Small beef, £5 17s 6d ; bullocks, £4 18 ; fat cows, £3 12s 6d ; 2-yr heifers, 30s to £2 11s; mixed yearlings, 265; calves, 12s to 15s ; fat sheep, 9s ; forward'ewes, 8s 6d ; lambs m wool, is 5 J to 5s ild ; shorn lambs, 4s lOd to 5s Id. LAND REPORT. At our sale of town properties on the 11th iust., the attendance was small. We succeeded, however, m disposing of tho greater portions of soclion 176 at prices ranging from £15 to £25 for £- acre allotments fronting Main-street, and fromj£ls to £20 for acre sections fronting Vogel-streot. Section 335, comprising 1| acres, fronting Main-street, rea lised £120. Wo are receiving a considerable number of enquiries for rural properties m this district, the high prices asked, however, for the most part detf-r investment. Wo report the sale of Mr J. L. Hirst's property at Kairanaga, 1589 acres, at a satisfactory figure.
