Temuka Butter and Cheese Factory.
A meeting of the Directors of the above was held recently. . ; .The Secretary •reported having received a telegram from a Melbourne and Brisbane firm, asking at what price the whole of the season's stock could be bought. Arrangements :on this point were still pending. During the past month three tons had been sent to Brisbane and two tans to Melbourne. 28 pigs had. ataa been sold at a satisfactory price. During the past month 17,107 gallons of milk had been received at the Factory, for which j£2l9 5s 3d had been paid. All the cheese ready for sale has been disposed of, and there were besides 21 tons m the Factory not yet ready. For the greater portion of this orders had already been received. Letters from the North Island and from St. Andrews, asking for information with regard to the Factory, were read. The Secretary was ins.tru.cted to give all the information he possessed. The meeting then adjourned,
