MESSBS BECKETT, HAMMOND, AND DICK REPOBT.
Marton, Jan. 31. Theie was a big attendance at our stock .sale held at the Club jards, yesterday, tlin bidding for cattle being decidedly brisk. Sheep was also well competed for, though pi ices were a shade lower. On the whole prices were very .satisfactory. 75 bead of cattle, 1,250 sheep, and 120 pigs made up tho sale, most of which w«re placed. We quote — Mixed weanevs, 225; cows and calves, 34s ; yearling" Bteeis, 37s ; 2-yr-old steers, .£3 2s ; 2-tooth wethers, 9s Id to 9s 3d; 4- tooth wetpers, 0a 6d to 10s. 6d ; fat ewes, 8s 6<j to 8s 8d; woojly lambs, Ss 4d. '
