,-.M. R. MILLER. MOUNT ERIN, HAWKE'S BAY. Important and Absolute Sale of MOUNT ERIN LINCOLN FLOCKS, ON FRIDAY, 13th FERRUARY. rpHE Sale will be held at Mount X Erin Station Yards. Coaches will be m waiting at Hastings Railway Station on the arrival of the morning trains on sale day to convey intending purchasers to Mount Erin. Orders for the inspection of the sheep can at any time be obtained at the Office of the Auctioneer. The Mount Erin flock, originally 1 5,000 sheep, part of Mr Tanner's flock, has been heavily culled every year since coming into the present owner's hands, and from his using only the highest class Lincoln Rams the whole of the sheep are now nearly pure, grand healthy sheep, good size, and clip and quality may be judged, from fact of last year's wool, although heavy m grease, realising for fleece from 8d to 9|d per pound, and that m a low market. The sales from the station this season have been only wedders and second-class sheep, but amongst those to be offered on 13th are the choice flocks hitherto reserved. The only lot now reserved is 3500 hoggets, and as the Monnt Erin Estate has been sold (with the exception of a few sections on the flats) and delivery must be given on 19th Feb., these sheep must be sold. The lots consist of— 650 choicer-tooth Lincoln Ewes 1300 m lots, 4-tooth do do 800 do 6-tooth do do 800 do 6-tooth and rising 8 Lincoln Ewes 1700 m lots, 8-tooth (fresh) Lincoln Ewes 500 Cullsj mixed ages 650 large Wedders, 6 and Btooth, m good forward condition • 550 large Wedders, 6 and Btooth, fat 350 Ewes, 2- tooth, first cross Also, 300 Stud Ewes, 2, 4, 6, and Btooth, with , 100 Ram Lambs The small stud ftock are from Lincoln Ewes imported -by Messrs McLean, of Auckland, from the celebrated flocks of Messrs Clarke and Vessey, Lincolnshire, England. FOE SALE Some time about the beginning of ' MARCH, about 4,000 ACRES OF LAND BEING part of the Rangatira Block, comprising the HUNTERVILLE TOWNSHIP EXTENSION, and a large number of Rural «nd Suburban Sections, varying from sto 320 Acres. The Town Sections from \ to 3 Aeries. All the Sections have frontages to well-graded roads, some of which are formed and are now being metalled ; others will be shortly cleared one chain wide. The Main Trunk IJailway from Wellington to Auckland * passes through the entire length of this Block, as also the Marton-Otamaka- j pua-Mnrimotu Road. The bush on the Hunterville Township Extension has been cleared ready for burning, the purchasers will therefore be able to proceed with the erection of their buildings directly after the sale. The whole of the Rural and Suburban Sections are covered with forest, the principal trees being tawa, rimii, rata, and patches of fine totttm suitable for milling purpose?. This undergrowth is as a rule light, and the general character of the soil of . splendid quality. A Saw-mill will shortly be erected on the Block. The country is undulating, with a large proportion of flats, and when cleared and brought under cultivation three" fourths will be fit for agricultural purposes.
