Concert at Marton.
The Wesleyan Choir yesterday proceeded to iyfarton l>y road, several traps leaving "aluierfltyn early vi. tho, dny conveying tl'w singers. Most of them made a holiday trip of it by dining picnic •fashion on tliu banks of tho Rangitikei Ilivor. The visiaors were well received by tho Marton people and the Temper--ancn Hall m tho evening was crowded to excess. Tho Oratorio "Paradise", lately given m the Foresters Hall hero was reproduced and rendered siicceasfnlly, and apparently much appreciated by the audience. Prior to and at tho close of the concert the meinberu of the choir were entertained by the local Wenleyau body most hospitably, A portion .of the contingent left the same night for Palmerston, others leaving m traps this morning at day-brsak, nrrivr : ing m Palm^fßtoi; by nine o'clock. - >
