Tlio followmj aindavit (says the Napier Telegraph) W ji» sworn botbro Mt* E-.1. Patten, J.P., on Tuesday :— " I, Henry .Collins, late of -Auckland, now of Napier, miner, hereby make oath and say that I hava brought to Nitpier certain quartz specimens takon by my.-aslf and 0. W. Gi'eenwood from areef m Hawko's Bay ; that I took the 'same stone to Auckland, and that a.portion of the same stone and no other was taken by Mr Waymouth, of the firm of E. Mjtchelson & Co., of Aueldand, to th| Bank of New .Zealand there, tui'd by^^ them tested, with the result shown on their receipt. I also make oath and say that the specimens' now m my possession in'-Napior are a portion of the same stonu." . ' •
