Wesleyan Circuit.

> The Rangitikei Wesleyan circuit quarterly meeting was held m the Wesleyan Churchy Marton, on Tuesday evening. The meeting was a fairly representative one, there being a goodly number present. The Rev. W. Worker presided. A request from the Wesleyan circuit 'steward ,of the Palmerston circuit was read, suggesting that a united picnic be held iv Marton on Anniversary day, when a number of people would come fyora Palmerston - including the singers who took part m the oratorio " Paradise," given m Palmerston" m the Christmas week, and that the oratorio could be given m Marton the same evening ; also, that a special train might be provided for the party to return to Paluierston the same night. After discussion, it was deemed advisible not to entertain the idea of a picnic, and Messrs Kibblewhite and Jolly were appointed to .confer with Mr. Grace, the circuit steward, aud suggest- that * -the concert might be given on the evening suggested ; that the singers come by the ordinary train m the morning, be entertained by the friends here, and return. by train the following morning. As the Sabbath school picnic, m connection with" the Mai-ton Wesleyan Church, will be held on Anniversary day; it waVthought the Palirierston friends could be eutertained there during the" day, 'and at night with the members of the Church
