Destructive Fire at Boatman's.
LATER PARTICULARS. (UNITED PRESS A8800rAT10N.) Reefton, Jan. 5. The following are the insurances, as far as is yet known :— Butler's Hotel, largo two-storey building, estimated value £1250,. total loss with contents; insurance, £250 on building, and £'50 oh billiard table m the Standard office. The billiard table was only saved. Mr Burke'B Hotel, totally destroyed with contents; estimated loss, .£65.9; no insurance. Gallagher Bros., large hew store and residence, wholly destroyed with two-thirds of their, stock ; esiSm'ated. loss, ,£3000 ; insurance, .£SOO on stock m Standard, halt re-insured m Norwich Union ; £500 on stock m Victoria office, half re-insured m some other office, name unknown; and £300 on 1 stock m Equitable. Winford's butchery, totally destroyed ; loss, £100 ; no insurance. Wilson's Hotel, totally destroyed; loss, with contents, estimated at £1000 ; insurance, £300 m Standard* Duffy's butchery (used as a store-room by Gallagher), totally destroyed ; loss, £100 ; uninsured. At Forjis' store the premises are very slightly damaged, but the stock suffered m removal; estimated value, £1500; insurance, £200 on the stock, and £100 on the building m the Standard office. Archer's Hotel and store ; estimated value, £3500 ; premises uninjured, and stock slightly damaged; no insurance, policies having lapsed a few weeks, ago, , . ,
