YESTERDAY. At the first meeting of creditors m the estate of J. H. Topping; 'helJyesterday, there were present the debtor and following creditors :— F. : Bichards, £-29 6s 9d; J. King* (Nathan & Co.), £75 Bs* J. L. Schmidt, ±'22 13s 9d ; W.B. Retemeyer, £3; G. M. Snelson, £16 15s: G. F. Hawkins,,£s-16s 2^;,.A- S. Baker (proxy for C. W. .Walkerj/^ 12s 3d; also G. F. Hawkins (as proxy for Henry Gardes), £151 18s 4d. A claim of £9 15s 6d was- also received from T. C. Termant. Total liabilities, £319 5s 9d. He lived rent j free, and was. to have, ha<l a share of the profits. .The agreement between them was a verbal one, entered into m June, 1882.
