Bush carried o^f the money with the former second. The Boys' Race was won by J. Innes with Lough second. Miss Richardson carried off the brooch and earrings m the girls' race. By this time a considerable number had assembled on the ground, but apparently were not sorry under the circumstances to return home. If the weather prevented the sports be ing carried out it wasjs not so with the ball held m the evening m the Foresters' Hall, which was undoubteijly a grand success. The number of dancers were much larger than the hall could coiaafortably accommodate ;the best, howejver, was made of • it, and everybody appeared to enioy themselves to their hearts' content. Excellent music was provided, and dancing was kept up till early dawn. "
