The Buggy Case.

Another stage of tho buggy case was proceeded with at the Feildiug R.M. Court, on Wednesday, when Messrs Halccunbe & Sherwill sued T. Goodison for £57 7s, amount of judgment and costs m the suit Grammar v. Halcombe and Sherwill, m connection with the sale of a buggy the ownership of which has led to considerable litigation. Evidence was given that Malcolm owed Goodison money, and handed over the buggy m lieu of payment. After a lengthy hearing His Worship held that the property of the buggy had not passed to defendant. He was satisfied that the buggy had belonged to the firm, but that Malcolm was not entitled to make the transfer. He thought that defendant's owner* ship of the buggy was all along tainted with doubt on his part, There were certain matters m the affair of which he had knowledge when taking over the buggy, and should have disclosed, which he had not done, although he did not attribute to him deceit with intent to defraud. He then gave judgment for plaintiffs for £40 together with costs, counsels' fee, and witnesses' ' expenses. Mr J. H. Hankins appeared for plaintiffs, and Mr G. F. Hawkins for defendant.
