MESSRS HUNTER AND NOLAN'S WEEKLY REPORT. Horses : — A good many were brought forward, and the demand was much brisker than on the previous week, but prices continue m favour of Durchaser. The Durham Yards were well filled with horses, and there was a large attendance the attraction being a mob overland from , Poverty Bay. Competition was brisk, and but few of lots submitted were held over. We quote : Hacks, from £6 to £17 10s ; light harness, £7 10s to £15 ; heavy draughts, froni £25 to £32.. Cattle : The supply has been father a large one, the demand steady, resulting mno material alteration m price. The Newmarket yards were .well filled on Tuesday. There was steady conipetition throughout the sale, and for beasts well up m condition last week's values were given, but medium quality were a shade lower. There was no noteworthy alteration m the value of dairies and store stock, Sheep :At Newmarket on Tuesday the number brought forward was scarcely sufficient for requirement ; and there was a consequent advance of fully 2s per head, Lambs were plentiful. Pigs ; very short supply ; good' porkers find ready sale at 3£d per lb, live weight.
