A Serious Charge.

A chemist named Sheridan has been committed for trial m Sydney for wilful murder, having, it ig alleged, caused the death of four pregnant women on whom he had used a surgical instrument for the purpose of procuring abortion. At the inquests on the unfortunate women it was shown that m each case Sheridan had punctured the uterus and caused fatal peritonitis.
