The Awahuri Bridge.

Mr Armstrong informs us that the ourjent of the Oroua is now setting towards the south approach of the Awahnri Bridge, m which a considerable gap has been already scoured out, causing a temporary suspension of all traffic. He hopes to have the approach repaired for light traffic by to-morrow afternoon. It is feared that the river may likely cause some trouble to tlie bank on this side. The northern approach has also suffered to some , extent. ■ The current of the river seems to have altered altogether during the recent; -fresh,, "an'df now threatens the southern approach as much as before it did ! thef northern.. Therb was a considerable volume of water m the river last night, but now the fresh has slightly subsided.
