The accused had a steerage passage; and had only some trilling -change of clothing and his books with him, : his luggage hkv-i in^ aviived too ! late from Kjiipai-a for the stealmor* Ho was much atfected on being 1 arrested, and requested peiv .mission to take, his Bible to the cell with him. Ho had resigned jhis charge. \ ;
