Horses : — We quote hacks, at from £5 to £26 ; harness horses, from £12 to £23. Cattle: Beef was moderately plentiful, and for top sorts there was an upward tendency m price. We quote calves, from 14s to 27s ; yearlings, from 20s to 36s ; dry cows, from £2 10s to £5 ; eighteen months old steers, £2 5s to £3 16s ; grown steers, £4 17s 6d ; beef, 23b to 275. Sheep : Wethers, m wool, sold at from 14s to 21s 3d ; ewes, from lls 6d to 18s ; lambs, plentiful, and sold at from 6s 6d to 16s 6d.
