Waste Lands Board.

The,:- "Wellington Waste Lands Board met on Thursday. Present — The Chief Commissioner (Mr J. W. A. Marclumt), m the chair, Commissioners H. Bniiny, W. W. M'Cavdle, Thomas Mason, and Georgo Beetham, M.H.K. The Chairman reported that no land had been sold since last meeting,, and that the alteration m the Board's hour of meeting" had been gazetted. The Chairman reported that the Sheep Department objected. : to their inspectors , being: taken nway from their work to do' ranger^* work. The Chairman laid before the Board copies of the udver^tisement* relatiye' to the coming land sale. On the, nation of . Mr Bunny, it was agreed to amend the clause relative to ; right ef purchase, so as to show at what price the selector would be able to purchase a fulfiltnent 'of conditions; The Board approved "of the advertisement as ' altered to the dates fixsd. , The Chairman reported that he, had engaged the Institute i at* Masterton foi: the. laud sale. It was agreed to have a revised notice of the sale Vfpi' advertising m the papers ready by next meeting of the Board^ •^-the leasing advertisement to be pro'-f ceeded. with at once. A letter was read from the sec etary to the Pahiatua Road Board, relative to the expenditure of deferred payment thirds m Pahiatua Block. Certain sums of deferred payment money were due to the block, and the settlers desired that it should be expended on certain rqads m the block. It was resolved that the Road Board's proposal* be agreed; to, except as to the proposal to expend the moneys from sections 25 and 27, Block Till., and as to the whole of the line to the Tirameaj (including the deviations through sections 13 and 19, Block VIII:, Mangahao). An application was received from John Hall (section 27, ; Block VI II., Mangahao) to have his future instalments capitalised. The Chairman reported that all conditions were fulfilled. -Agreed to.
