Treasurer: Mr Thos. King. PROGRAMME FOR THE DAY. 1. Handicap Hurdle Race of 60 soys. 2 miles, over eight flights of hurdles 3ft 9in high. Nomination, 1 soy. Acceptance, 3 soys. To start at 11.30 a.m. 2. Hack Hurdle Race of 15 soys. Once round the course. Post entries. Entrance, 1 soy. Weight not to be under 10 stone. Open to all horses that have never been nominated or entered for any advertised race up to the time of starting for this race (hack races excepted). Jockeys to ride m colours. To start at 12.15 p.m. 3. Maiden Plate of 40 soys. Entrance 3 soys. Weight for age. 1| miles. Open to all horses that havo never won public money (back races excepted) prior to date of entry. Any horse entered for Maiden Plute winning an advertised race between the date of entry and date of race to carry a penalty of 51 bs. To start at 1 p.m. 4. District Maiden of 25 soys. Entrance 2 soys. Weight for age. 1^ miles. Open to all horses that have never won public money (hack races excepted) prior to date of entry, and that have been owned by bonajide residents m the Oroua County for six months prior to date of entry, and that have been trained m the said County. To start at 1.45 p.m. 5. Manawatu Racing Club Handicap of 200 soys. S«cond horse to receive 25 soys. from the stakes. Nominations 3 soys. Acceptance 7 soys. Distance If miles. The winner of any Handicap to the value of 100 soys. after the declaration of weigh ts to carry 71 bs extra. To start at 3.15 p.m. 6. Hack Race of 10 soys. Once round the course. Post entries. Entrance 1 soy. Catch weights over 9 stone. Open to all horses that have never won an advertised race (hack races excepted). The winner of this race to be offered for sale by auction immediately after the race, and any sum realised over j£2o to go to the funds of tbe Club. To start at 4 p.m. 7. Flying Handicap of 100 soys. Nominations 2 soys. Acceptance 4 boys. Distance 6 furlongs. The winner of any Handicap to tbe advertised amount of 100 soys., after the declaration of weights, to carry a penalty of 71bs. To start at 4.45 p.m. 8. Palmerston Plate Handicap of ■ 50 sovß. Nominations 1 soy. Acceptance 3 soys. Distance I 5 miles. The winner of any Handicap to the advertised value of 100 soys., after the declaration of weights, to carry a penalty of 71bs. To start at 5.30 p.m. Nominations will be received, addressed to the Secretary, at the Commercial Hotel, Palmerston North, up to Saturday, the 15th November, at 8 p.m. Weights will be declared on Monday, Ist December. Entries and Acceptances close on Saturday, December 13th, at 8 p.m. RULES AND REGULATIONS. No Entry will be received for any Races except upon tbis condition, — That all Disputes, Claims, and Objections arising out of the racing shall be decided by a majority of the Stewards present, or those whom they may appoint. Their decision upon all points connected with tbe carrying out of this Programme shall be final. AH Entries to be Sealed and addressed to the Secretary, Palmerston North ; Entrance Money enclosed with name, Age at tbe time of Entry, Pedigree, and, m the case of Handicaps, Performances of the Horse, Name of the owner, and Colours of the Rider. Any Jockey riding except m the colours entered will be fined 3 soys. When two or more horses start (the property of the same owner) a Distinguishing Colour must be worn. All personß intending to withdraw hoises are required to give Notice to that effect to the Secretary or Clerk of the Scales one half-hour before starting. Any person neglecting or refusing to comply with this Rule shall pay a fine of 5 sots, to the Race Fund. AH races to be run under the W.J.C. Rules. Horses walking over will only receive half the Stakes. No horse to save its stakes m any race except where otherwise specified. No Entries or Nominations will be received under any pretence whatever after the time specified for closing. Letters bearing the Postmark of the date of entry, and Telegrams of tbe same date will be received. No Qualification fee required. . THOS. R. WALTON, Secretary.
