There was a meeting of the Stewards of the Wauganui Jockey Club, when the following programme was arranged lor the Club's Autumn Metting, 1885 :— First day : Derby > £100; Hurdle JEtace, £75, wilier w.f.a. ; Sapiiug Stakes, £50 ; ; Wangauni Stakes Handicap, £150, 1£ miles ; Maiden Hurdles, £50, welter, w.fia. ; Flying Handicap, JglOQ. Sec oiid day : Selling Race, i>so, : added to a sweepstake ; Handicap Hurdles, £100 j. Wanganui Cup, £500; Nursery Handicap, £50 ; District Handicap, £150; Consolation Stakes, .£4O. Total amount of stakes £1410, as against £1460 last year. ; ,
