Poultry and Produce Society
A meeting of the general commifct'w of the Ransitikei-Manawatu Poultry and Produce Society was held at Bulls on Tuesday evening. Present — Mr Ri'temeyer (iv the chair). Me srs Richards, Hogg, Bet»g, G. J. Scott, and Robb. It wan stated (»ay» the Martou p^por) that tho society might reckon on an income of £70, £50 of which would be given m pwzeH. The schedule wan drawn up, aud includes dogs, cats, poultry, pigeons, canaries, rabbits, nnd produce. A sheep dog competition will bo held, with prizes of £3 and £1; towards which Mr A. Dalziell has contributed £1, and Mr J. Hammond 10s. The committee will be very glad to receive' special prizes from anyone who takes an interest m the show. It was decided* to give a champion prize of £3 for the bestcured ham. The annual subscription will entitle a member to show to the extent of one exhibit m each class. The entrance Tee to non-mem bera was fixed at 2s 6d. It was also arranged, that exhibits should .be conveyed from Greatford station free, if intimation be given to the secretary m time. The schedule was prdeied to be printed and circulated as speedily as possible.
